What a Berpro floor does

Three jobs, every rep.

Absorbs shock

Rubber gives under load and springs back. When a weight lands or a foot strikes, the tile takes up part of the impact, protecting the floor underneath, the equipment and the people training on it.

Dampens sound

A thick rubber layer softens the bang of dropped plates and the thud of feet. The gym is easier to work in, and easier on the neighbours.

Limits floor vibration

Rubber soaks up energy that would otherwise travel into the slab and through the building. That matters in upstairs gyms, offices and shared buildings.

Thickness guide

Thick enough. Not thicker.

Match the tile to what happens on the floor. The right thickness protects the slab without paying for rubber you don't need.

Our story

Saving the world one rubber crumb at a time.

Every Berpro tile starts as tyres that have done their work on the road. Instead of a heap or a fire, that rubber gets a second job under your feet.

Questions

Good to know

What are Berpro tiles made from?

Composite rubber made from recycled tyre crumb.

Where are they made?

In Kenya, by Rubber Products Limited of No. 23 Dakar Road, Industrial Area, Nairobi.

What sizes and thicknesses are there?

Tiles come in 500 × 500 mm and 1 m × 1 m, from 10 to 25 mm thick. Rolls are 1 m wide and 10 m long, in 6, 8 and 10 mm. See the range.

Which thickness do I need?

As a guide: 6, 8 or 10 mm for yoga and stretching, 15 mm for home gyms and light weights, 20 mm for commercial gyms and free weights, and 25 mm for heavy lifting and impact zones. The thickness guide explains why.

How are the tiles fitted?

The 500 × 500 mm tiles are glued down. The 1 m × 1 m tiles join to each other with a buckle underneath, so the seams on top are straight. See planning & fitting.

What colours can I choose?

500 mm tiles: black, black with 15% red and yellow fleck, or black with 15% white and blue fleck. 1 m tiles: black, or black with 15% white and blue fleck. Rolls: black, black with red spots, or black with blue spots.
